The Droid icons are smooth, straightforward to identitfy and tend to convey what they mean in a relatively nice presentation that allows for ease in understandingIt used to be, you had three to five icons on your mobile telephone to tell you everything that is happening with your cellular world. These days there is plenitude of icons, and at the forefront are the iPhone and the Verizon Droid. Now you can see not only voicemail as an icon, but if you missed a call, if there's a call on hold, new voicemail or new email message. You'll know if there's an issue with your SMS or MMS delivery, if there is new instant message, if information is syncing or if a song is playing on your phone. The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology. If the ringer is off in silent mode or if the speakerphone is on - there is a separate icon for it. You can tell if there is a call on hold, if the call is forwarded or if there us a calling progress. It will also tell you if GPS is enabled and if it is working. The Droid icons are smooth, straightforward to identify and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a relatively nice presentation that allows for ease in understanding. The Droid desires this level of icons because it does so much. It has got an airplane mode where wireless services are mechanically set to off. All these icons are show in the status bar on the top of the Droid. Naturally, you get the common icons, but there are also icons for pending Notifications and Messages. This suggests that all of the calls, text messages and new e-mails are all shown in this section. They'll be there until you take care of them. This is great for when you're away from your mobile phone. The Droid doesn't give audio reminders, but it is doing give you lots of icons and a green blinking light which will activate the status bar so you can look after any outstanding actions that are shown by the assorted icon notices. All you need to do then is activate your Droid and touch the express icon that fits with an action. You can then fix it. For as cool as the Droid is, sometimes it must be rebooted. You can tell when this is occurring when the translucent wheel icon starts spinning nonstop. You will need to use the Advance Task Killer if you have it, and can use it. There are different types icons for diverse services and apps. Everything from apps to actions to take, Droid icons are easily read and pretty clear cut. ![]()
