Your fee should be presented in the same way, as the fee of your doctor, the stomatologist or the lawyer.
The hourly or day fee will extend only on very short-term task – some days or a maximum week. Clients reluctantly agree to pay in an hour per any project which occupies more specified above time. For long-term projects they prefer to establish the fixed fee, having on it (from the point of view) the weighty reasons.
1. The adviser, starting to work, has no the slightest concept, how much hours will spend over the project because of the errors, able to be admitted during performance. Probably, he should meet a policy of establishment, to face strikes of workers, the delays connected with participation of other parties, absence of assistance from outside the client, its personnel, acts of God etc. Thus, he only can specify the hourly fee in accuracy. But the client thus does not know, what will be the definitive sum.
2. As a result the client will have difficulties with the controller or the bookkeeper because of impossibility to give the sum of the budget for the given project. To it will unambiguously let know that so affairs do not conduct.
3. Despite your remarkable documents on education and on the recommendation (and also the ethical code offered by you), the client cannot learn, whether intentionally you increase time for project end, adding thus own income. To put it briefly, he has got tired of advisers and feels to them certain mistrust. (If, of course, you did not work with this client earlier, and it has not been satisfied by your job.)
4. Thus, the client feels that is exposed to financial risk.
